Our Organic Sorghum Pens are made from organic sorghum and brown rice flours, grown in Italian soils, subjected to rigorous quality controls to ensure maximum purity and sustainability. The mix of flour used for organic pens, make this pasta absolutely light and highly digestible, also ideal for the most special dietary regimes such as vegetarian, vegan or sports. It is also certified gluten-free. The pasta is produced entirely in Italy, with artisanal processing: bronze drawing and slow drying at low temperature. The dark colour that characterizes the paste is to be attributed to sorghum, a herbaceous plant widely used for its nutritional properties, in fact it contains vitamin B3 and E, iron, calcium, potassium, useful for the well-being of the body. The precise shape of the penne is designed to optimize the consistency during cooking, ensuring a pasta al dente that lends itself to multiple culinary preparations: from the classic basil pesto and cherry tomatoes, to creamy avocado pesto with shrimp.
