This delicate salt is harvested by hand every day following traditional methods in the Ebro Delta Natural Park (Biosphere Reserve). Ideal for seasoning all types of food. This salt is collected by hand from the surface of the salt ponds, obtaining the salt crystals formed in the upper layer. Sea salt with a delicate taste, light and moist texture, and high in minerals is used by chefs and gastronomy experts at the end of food preparation (salads, grilled meats, foie gras, chocolates, sweets, fish and vegetables) and even at the table itself. It is also advisable to use less amount than normal salt, because it is purer and dissolves easily with food juices or in the mouth without difficulty. It contains significant amounts of calcium and magnetic salts, considered beneficial for health. In its collection and packaging process no antimoisturizers, anti-caking agents, additives, or iodine or fluoride is added to it. During the natural process of salt concentration by evaporating sea salt to crystallization, the high concentration of salt per litre ensures that no bacteria can survive as well as any other life form.
