Amazon American Hickory: The Power 3A is made from North American hickory wood, a type of walnut. Hickory is denser, harder and heavier than maple, while also being more elastic than oak. The wood fibres absorb a large part of the vibration energy on impact. Dimensions: The model has a length of 16.625 inch / 42.23 cm and a diameter of 0.600 inch / 1.52 cm. The extended version is based on the 3A model and offers extra length compared to a standard stick of 16 inch / 40.64 cm. Longer 3A Version: The Power 3A is designed as a longer version of the 3A model. The additional length allows more reach and leverage, while the diameter of 1.52 cm specified for this model is retained. Barrel-shaped wood tip: The tip is made of wood and has a barrel shape. Together with the robust design of the 3A and the additional length, the barrel tip is one of the characteristic features of the Power 3A. Wood processing and matching: The hickory is dried to a residual moisture content of 10 to 12 percent. The sticks are computer-turned and precisely sanded. Weight, tonal colour or frequency, and balance are then analysed.
