Amazon The Neptune-44 is not only inspired by history, but also marked by it. With a one-of-a-kind process, each crate was dipped off the coast of Utah Beach, Normandy, reusing oyster farming methods. Exposed to the same salt, sun and sand that saw the Allies landing on 6th June 1944, each crate emerges with unique marks and discolorations, not by choice, but as a result of time and tides. This is a transformation due to exposure, not surface treatment. Each scratch tells the story of waves crashing on steel, a natural patina acquired right in D-Day waters. The dial continues this robust tribute with a distressed black finish, specially developed for this edition. The indexes are coated and damped, recalling the wear and weathering of real field tools. No two dials are exactly the same, each develops its own character over time. The Neptune-44 is not a reproduction. It is a living relic, forged from salt and memory, and a tribute to the enduring legacy of those who landed before us. A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of each Neptune-44 will be donated to the Utah Beach Landing Museum in Normandy. The donation will be used to thank them for their support of the project. This watch features a 38mm coated steel case with 10ATM water resistance. It features sword hands and coated indexes, both treated with Super-Luminova for increased visibility. A double dome sapphire crystal protects the dial, while a premium Miyota 9039 automatic movement is fitted inside. Model: Neptune 44 - Black Movement: Miyota 9015 Premium Automatic Case: Coated stainless steel, diam. 38 mm Dial: Black, Sword hands and indexes with Super Luminova Strap / Buckle: Brown leather, 20 mm Glass: Double dome sapphire Other features: Water resistant 10 ATM, international warranty 24 months
