THE STORY At sea, timekeeping was of vital importance. Even before the invention of a sea-worthy ship chronometer (over 250 years after the discovery of the "New World"), one helped with hourglasses, which ran very inaccurately and had to be turned over every half hour, but still helped, e.g. such as guard services, maintain a sense of time in days of fog and bad weather or simply to measure the speed of the ship. The watch: the automatic "Conquistador" watch combines the measurement of time with that of the history of maritime travel. However, it works without sand and is powered by a modern movement, which is approx. 42 hours has an 84 times as long power reserve as an hourglass. The rotor winding on both sides works very quietly. The power reserve indicator blends into the overall look of the watch. The elegant hand date is located separately at the 6 o'clock position. The design: the steel or two-layer gold-plated housing (IPG + real gold) have many optical features. The crown resembles a model of the globe with longitude and latitude. The strap stops on the housing have a curved shape, similar to the bow waves of a ship. The body is brushed lengthwise, the bezel and the strap stops shimmering polished. The white or tierra brown dials carry large Arabic numerals that are clearly readable. Features: The gold-plated rotor is decorated with a Geneva stripe cut. The watch is protected by a scratch-resistant, triple anti-reflective sapphire glass. The men's watch is available in 5 model colours. The leather straps in blue, brown, grey brown and black are equipped with a crest button and a butterfly folding clasp. In addition, a steel version with finely woven Milanese strap (mesh) is available. Box contents and quality: the "Conquistador" automatic watch is delivered in an exclusive box with certificate, detailed booklet, brand pendant and polishing cloth.
