The gyokuro plants grow in southern Japan and are completely covered with special tarpaulins or straw mats about 20 days before harvest. Ecological green gyocurote: the green gyoku red has bright green leaves with sea blue shades thanks to the chlorophyll content. The leaves are characteristically needle-shaped.
