The Garden Hunwal is located in the Jorhat district of the Indian state of Assam south of the Brahmaputra River. The light altitude up to 1,000 m above sea level that is untypical for Assam with rather low day and night temperatures and the associated slower plant growth promote very rich, strong qualities. This fine, very well made tea comes from the second picking period. Spicy tart with a pronounced aftertaste and malty round bouquet. Z U B E R E I T U N G: For 1 litre of tea, take 4-5 teaspoons and pour over with 100 degree hot water. Leave to steep for 3-5 minutes. Preparation of ice tea: take 7-8 teaspoons for 1 litre of tea and pour 100 degrees hot water. Leave to steep for 5 minutes. Sweeten the hot tea with brown sugar, refine with the juice of a lemon and pour over ice cubes when hot. Due to the thermal shock, the black tea retains its taste and does not get streaks when it gets cold.
