Paddy-Richter is one of my many original harmonica tunes and has become very popular around the world since I first recorded it on my 1994 album New Irish Harmonica It is great for playing fast melodies, especially for Irish and other violin tracks but also for pop and blues. Now it is also available in an extended version! Strictly speaking, it should be called "Double Paddy-Richter" on the Lucky 13. This is because Paddy Richter's normal low octave scale (with 3 shot tuned one tone) is repeated a lower octave This makes the Lucky 13 version ideal for chords and octaves! As with my 10-hole Paddy-Richter harps, the Lucky 13 version is half-valve. The half valve is another invention of mine, an innovation that gives you much more soul and volume on notes that you normally can't bend (lower blow notes, top pulls), while retaining all the normal bending rods. If you already like Paddy-Richter, you'll love the Lucky 13 extended version! WATCH THE VIDEO to taste good of how this Lucky 13 sounds!
