Cavalor Gastro 8 is developed for horses with stomach problems or who are sensitive for stomach ulcers. Gastro 8 (aid) works on different levels (as with most CAVALOR products); it neutralizes acid production, protects the stomach mucus, has a healing effect on the stomach wounds and has a sedative, pain relieving action. Cavalor Gastro 8 contains Gentian which stimulates Saliva production, anthelmintic and antiseptic properties. Also ginger is added which protects the stomach mucus. And chestnut extrac creates a thin coating around the stomach wall to protect it from the irritation of acid, this gives the ulcers time to heal. Gastro Aid also makes the horse want to eat again. It can be given as a single syringe before stressful situations to prevent ulcers but also as a treatment to heal ulcers.
