The XO2 boots are developed according to the Form-Follows-Function principle and provides your horse with perfect protection without compromising on comfort. The protector seamlessly fits the horse's leg and only covers the areas where necessary. The shell is subtly thickened on the back and sides of the fetlock to provide optimal protection to those crucial areas of the horse's leg. What makes the shell unique is its anatomical shape, molded to the horse's leg. This ensures a seamless fit around the leg. The unique shape of the shell provides protection where needed while also making the protector lighter than others, up to 10%! It also allows the horse unhindered freedom of movement, so your horse never feels restricted by the protectors! The shell is tough for effective protection, yet extremely flexible to conform nicely to the horse's leg. Strategically placed ventilation holes keep the tendon cool. The protector is lined with our specially developed Air Liner, a thermo-formed lining. The composition of the material gives the lining optimal properties. The lining provides an extra shock-absorbing effect due to the air that accumulates in the spaces created by the composition of the material. During impact, the air is forced out through the extremely breathable lining and the ventilation holes. This ensures your horse is optimally protected against shocks. The right closures are also crucial. If the protector is too loose, it can cause rubbing, but if it's too tight, it can restrict blood flow. The closure straps are slightly elastic and equipped with hook-and-loop closures so that the tendon protector can always be securely fastened in place. They conform to the curvature of the shell for a streamlined look and a good fit.
