Our lemon balm tea is brewed by combining 1 tablespoon (5g) of leaves in 1 cup (250ml) of boiling water and let it steep for 10 minutes before drinking. The taste is slightly bitter and refreshing, with a lemon aroma. The colour of the infusion ranges from light green to yellow. For added flavor and nutritional value, you can add honey or your favorite juice. It is usually consumed in the evening to prepare the body for a peaceful sleep. Our lemon balm is harvested from organic fields in northern Greece, reducing exposure to commonly used pesticides. The raw materials are dried in air dryers, which ensure the correct temperature is maintained throughout the drying period and does not expose the product to coal or pellet smoke. Our lemon balm is cut so it is perfect for brewing; it is not too thick, so it fits easily into a tea infuser. Very aromatic in taste, it blends perfectly with other herbs supporting immunity, relaxation and helping in stressful situations. Perfect when you want to calm down. The environment has a great influence on the content of the essential oil, so the lemon balm of Greece (its natural habitat) may have greater properties than the lemon balm of northern Europe. Similar results have been shown by comparative studies of warmer and colder regions, showing a higher content of essential oil in lemon balm from Romania and Greece, compared to countries such as Germany or Poland.
