Milk thistle is a flowering herb with purple flowers and spiny leaves that takes its name from the milky white substance found in the stem and leaves of the plant when cutting or picking. Preparation: Put 1-2 tsp of the herb in 250 ml of hot water, let it brew for 5-7 minutes, then strain. For best results, use a tea strainer or tea filter.
