3B Scientific Physics Teaching Aid Tube Holder S for the Experimental Construction of Tubes from Series by

The tube holder is used to hold the entire tube range S from 3B Scientific, accessories of the tubes such as Helmholtz coils S (item number: 1000611) and additional coil (item no.: 1000645) as well as the gas discharge tube S (item number: 1000624) It consists of a robust base plate with angled tube holder with integrated connection panel. The socket for the tube base includes 8 sockets and a centre hole. Five sockets are electrically connected to the connection panel equipped with 4mm safety sockets. Integrated into the tube holder there is a protection circuit against overvoltage for the cathode heater, which prevents damage to the sensitive heating thread. In the base plate there is a slot for accommodating the Helmholtz coils in transverse geometry up to a maximum distance of 150 mm or in Helmholtz arrangement (marking). The Helmholtz coils in axial geometry can be inserted into the stepped front of the tube holder. It also serves as a support for the additional coil.
