This title showcases the shared future of Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and transports you to the world of Aionios, home to two opposing nations. As in previous Xenoblade Chronicles games, you will start each fight by facing the enemy in the open field. You must take advantage of the strengths of each of the six members of your team and consider their position with respect to the opponent. Some characters you may befriend during the adventure will also be able to join the battle, expanding your range of available strategies. As you navigate Aionios, you can customize your team by changing character classes to better suit each situation. In addition, if certain conditions are met during combat, each of the pairs formed by Noah and Mio, Lanz and Sena, and Eunie and Taion will be able to combine and adopt a gigantic form called "Uroborus". Each Uroboro has its own powerful techniques. Knowing at what exact moment to transform can be key to winning the fight!
