American Hickory: The 8A drumsticks are made from North American hickory wood. The material is denser, harder and heavier than maple, while also being more elastic than oak. Hickory absorbs a large part of the vibration energy generated on impact, combining stability with a degree of flexibility. Dimensions: The model has a length of 16 inch / 40.64 cm and a diameter of 0.555 inch / 1.41 cm. The 8A is designed as a fine, comparatively thin stick and is slightly larger in diameter than a classic 7A. Barrel-shaped wood tip: The tip is made of wood and has a barrel shape. This compact tip shape is designed for defined cymbal work and supports clear articulation when playing cymbals. Controlled playing feel: The 8A combines its slender design with a modified profile. This results in a somewhat more controlled playing feel compared to a classic 7A, without giving up the fine character of a thinner drumstick. Precise manufacturing: The sticks are computer-controlled turned and precisely ground. A computer system analyses weight, timbre or frequency and balance, so that correspondingly matched sticks are paired up.
