Commonly known as "maple salt" or "maple spices", this Quebec specialty stems from the subtle association between salt and maple sugar, then the spices were added. We made our maple spices from maple sugar chips from the Far North and Fleur de sel from Guérande IGP. To flavor it, we added - among other things- crushed coriander seeds, sweet ancho pepper, garlic, onion and black pepper from Malabar. Its flavor is sweet and refined. Advice from your grocer: Although it is greedy and we want to be generous, it is a mixture that must be measured sparingly to fully enjoy its subtlety. ASSOCIATIONS: If you like sweet-salty, you can easily combine it with many dishes. It accompanies meats, including grilled meats, marinades and fresh cheeses. Perhaps his best association is with salmon. Allergens: This spice mixture contains sulphites due to the presence of garlic, onion or shallots that naturally contain them. The garlic, onion and shallots that we use in our blends are grown and processed in France and are guaranteed to have a sulphite content of less than 10ppm/kg (regulatory threshold for the declaration of allergens). No additives, dyes, preservatives and non-irradiated. Origin: Made in our workshop in Normandy. Storage: Keep away from air, moisture, light and heat. USE: You can use our maple spices as a substitute for salt if you like sweet-salty. It is also very interesting in marinade; usually one to two teaspoons is enough to bring originality to a dish.
