We used special wire and winding that, together with the Alnico 2 bar magnet, give a standard Les Paul the sustain, crunch and medium typical of Slash's Derrig Les Paul. Slash humbuckers are handmade in Santa Barbara as in the 1980s, with silver nickel bottom plate, long legs, single braided wire, maple spacer, paper tape and wax impregnation.
