A unique high output humbucker bridge (SH-15) equipped with a custom winding and a high power Alnico 8 magnet for ceramic-style clarity with the warmth of Alnico. The Alternative 8 Humbucker uses high output coils along with a powerful Alnico 8 magnet to bring you the gentle treble response of an Alnico 2 magnet with the emphasis on the medium frequencies of the Alnico 5 and the power of a ceramic magnet. The result is a wide, punchy and high output sound that does not get sparkling and stands out without being harsh. Pair with '59 neck or Jazz neck for a perfectly balanced setup. Hand-assembled in Santa Barbara, CA, the Alternative 8 is made with an Alnico 8 bar magnet, silver nickel bottom plate, 4-conductor cable for multiple wiring options and is vacuum impregnated with wax for whistle-free performance. Available in standard humbucker or trembucker spacing.
