When Seymour Duncan contacted Bonamassa to recreate a set of humbuckers from one of his favourite ES-335s, he did not hesitate to provide us with one of the finest tools in his collection: his rare 1960 Gibson ES-335 with dot handle and blonde finish, aptly dubbed "The Blonde Dot". Joe describes the neck pickup as "stratty and clear" and the bridge pickup as "percussive and dark", forming a balanced ensemble that, according to him, would sound good on any guitar. To capture these sounds, this vintage set uses an Alnico 2 magnet in the handle, while a more powerful Alnico 4 magnet has been deemed the most suitable for returning the pickup qualities to the original bridge. Handmade in Santa Barbara, California.
