Safari Stegosaurus

The Stegosaurus was a large, armored plant-eating dinosaur that lived during the Upper Jurassic period (155-150 million years ago), in present-day western North America. He had an exceptionally small head, and although an adult weighed over 4.5 tons, his brain weighed less than 85 grams. The Stegosaurus had extremely short front legs, which gave it a very rounded back and placed his little head very close to the ground. He had two groups of long, bony spines on his tail, probably used to defend against predatory dinosaurs, and a double row of plates on his back.
