WHAT IS CREAM OF TARTAR? It is the common name for Potassium hydrogen tartrate, an acid salt that has a number of uses in cooking. Combine cream of tartar with pure baking soda and you get your own baking powder. Rather than getting cream of tartar 1kg, 100 grams per block is more than enough as you need a little amount to maintain a specific texture. WIDE RANGE OF USES - It is best known in our kitchens for giving volume to egg whites but it can also be used for baking and cleaning purposes. Instead of cream of tartar powder, you get the product in blocks for better organization and less mess. EXPERIENCE THE FUN OF COOKING - To stabilise egg whites and add volume, you can add half a teaspoon of cream of tartar per egg. If you need to reduce discolouration in boiled vegetables, add half a teaspoon to the water. POWERFUL CLEANING TOOL - To loosen surface dirt and grime on silver, make a solution of warm water and half a teaspoon of cream of tartar. To make a powerful cleaning agent for pots, pans and stovetops, combine cream of tartar with vinegar. SUPER SOFT PLAYDOUGH - Cream of tartar for playdough gives it a super soft texture. As an acid, it stabilizes recipes it is used in - this means playdough can last longer.
