THE LARGEST AND MOST MODERN BATTLESHIP IN THE WORLD: The Bismarck was the largest and most modern battleship in the world alongside the Hood. With a displacement of 42,343 tons, it impressed with its size and technological superiority. EPIC SEA FIGHTS AND SUNKEN HOOD: On May 24, 1941, the Bismarck, along with the heavy cruiser Prince Eugen, sank the British battlecruiser Hood in a naval battle off Greenland. With their 5th Salvo of the 38 cm guns, the Bismarck managed to sink the Hood with full hits. This event made the Bismarck a dreaded name in naval war history.
