Since the 1950s, the Remo Ambassador series has been one of the most popular drum head lines in the world. The medium-strength, single-layer Mylar films (single-layer 10-mil Mylar film) of the drum heads produce an open, warm and resonant tone that varies from brilliant and bright to focused and mid-emphasised to dark and soft throughout the series, depending on the model. The wider step collar of these models allows the coat to adapt to all the challenges that old vintage drums (until the mid-1960s) pose: oversized diameter, non-round boilers, thick and overlapping foils.
