The Rec Spec OG Sunray is truly the closest tribute we have paid to the MACV-SOG watches of the 1960s. Featuring a fluorescent green hue on the indexes and hands, we used super bright green. In addition, we chose a dark grey Sunray dial. Intuitively, this type of polished dial finish shouldn't have been on a field clock. A reference to how the original MACV-SOG watches were initially designed as elegant watches and not as field watches. And it's that story we felt was worth telling through our reassembly. Finally, as always, our A-11s are assembled in the USA and fitted with a leather strap. The 38mm case size, combined with the integrated 4-hour crown positioning, ensure excellent fit in all conditions, both on and off the court. The integrated crown design also protects the watch from unintentional extraction. Powered by an NH36 TMI movement with 39 hours of power reserve, hacking and day-date complication, just like the original sixties versions.
