This is Yerba Mate tea from the small plantation of the Liebig family, founded in 1926 by European immigrants. One of the strongest Argentine mate tea, containing only selected leaves from the Cooperativa Liebig - a small family plantation founded in 1926 by European immigrants. The balanced planting and procedures for making yerba mate tea are well known throughout South America. Despalada consists of coarsely cut large mate tea leaves with a small addition of small branches. There is virtually no dust. A slightly smoky aroma and a strong grassy, balanced taste with the bitterness and noticeable acidity typical of Mate from Corrientes. Aged for about 12 months.
