Speed: 1-52x. The compact "cakebox" contains 10 blank discs. Philips blank discs have a very long archival lifespan for a particularly long user experience. A spindle is a plastic cylinder that stores individual compact discs. The spindle is sealed with a plastic lid to protect the discs. A spindle saves space and is ideal when a large number of discs are needed and/or when discs are used only infrequently, e.g., for backups. Spindles are available with 10, 25, 50, or 100 discs. The 25-disc spindle is also available with inkjet-printable discs (IW).
