Panforte IGP Margherita Antichi Dolci di Siena by the Panforte Factory is a typical traditional Sienese cake, created to celebrate Queen Margherita's visit to Siena. It is made with a mixture of selected ingredients such as Italian almonds, candied fruit, honey, spices, and sugar, which is processed according to the method prescribed by the PGI consortium and baked in the oven. Panforte Margherita is distinguished by its more delicate taste than traditional Panforte and its soft texture. Each piece is finished with a dusting of icing sugar and packaged by hand to preserve its freshness
