Versatile: the mate tea can be drunk warm or cold, through a tea strainer, a French press, or traditionally through a bombilla. Fresh: This mate tea is fresh, it contains more antioxidants than stored mate tea varieties. The mate trees of caámate grow in the shade of other trees, making the leaves less acid than the mate leaves from monocultures that are permanently exposed to direct sunlight. Environmentally friendly: no pesticides are used in the forests from which our mate tea originates, no forests are cleared to create monocultures and 100% plastics are dispensed with in the packaging. And fair: fair wages for all involved, long-term employment and occupational safety are a matter of course for us. Unfortunately, even today, large quantities of Yerba Mate tea are harvested and processed by underpaid day laborers. We are committed to sustainable and fair mate production in the growing countries, working on new projects and concepts to improve existing conditions and replace monocultures with mixed crops.
