Sideritis (Sideritis scardica), also known as mountain tea or Greek mountain tea, is one of the most popular and most appreciated herbal plants in the Mediterranean. It is particularly popular in Greece, where it was administered to the soldiers returning from war expeditions. The Latin name "sideritis" comes from the meaning "iron", which clearly indicates its use for weakness as an herb that supports immunity and regeneration. Our sideritis flowers are harvested on undeveloped land and in the mountains of southern Albania. Therefore, they are not exposed to commonly used pesticides. The raw material is dried in gas dryers, which ensures that the correct temperature is maintained throughout the drying time and the product is not exposed to carbon or pellet smoke (which is common in small farms). Our raw material is cut to be perfect for brewing; it is not too thick so it fits easily into a tea infuser. Mild in taste, it fits perfectly with other immune system supporting herbs, such as lime blossom and elderberries. Honey and lemon are also gladly added. It is best to buy mountain tea from controlled organic cultivation (BIO). As with other herbal plants grown and processed according to the rules of controlled organic cultivation, the use of artificial fertilisers and chemical pesticides is prohibited, which guarantees that the consumer receives a 100% natural and health-promoting product.
