Grown in Greece: leaves from organic olive trees (Olea europaea), cut in spring and dried as whole leaves. Limestone soils and long dry summers give the leaf its firm texture and clean, green taste. Green and grassy with a light hint of spice and a gentle bitter edge, close to a mild green tea. The infusion brews pale yellow green. Steep it shorter for a softer cup, longer for more bite. Brewing: 2 g per 250 ml (about two teaspoons), water at a full boil, steep 5 to 7 minutes. The firm leaves need boiling water to open up. A slice of lemon, a sprig of mint or a little honey balances the bitter note. Certified organic and single ingredient: only olive leaf, no flavourings, nothing blended in. Naturally caffeine free, so it fits any time of day. A traditional Mediterranean infusion, drunk hot in winter and iced in summer. It also works as a green base for your own blends with lemon verbena, sage or Greek mountain tea.
