SOUS VIDE | Sous-Vide is a special cooking method in which food, vacuumed in a special plastic bag, cooked in a water bath at low temperature. Use: Place the grid in the Sous-Vide GN container - so the vacuumed food can be lined up neatly and space-saving. The sous-vide stick (not included) is placed in the opening of the container. Then slowly cook the food in a water bath at a constant low temperature between 50 and 85 °C. Gentle: the cooking temperature is below 100 °C, thanks to the gentle cooking, nutrients, vitamins and aromas of the individual ingredients are retained. Spices and herbs in particular intensify through sous vide cooking. Cooked meat becomes particularly tender and juicy. Features: the container is particularly robust and durable. The 12 litre capacity offers enough space for different dishes and different foods. Thanks to the small cut-out in the lid, the water vapour is reduced - the heat remains in the container, thus saving electricity. Tip: Basically, as with normal cooking: the harder or more compact the product - such as root vegetables or legumes - the longer the cooking time. Fish and meat need shorter times than, for example, solid vegetables.
