The home of this exceptional black tea quality is Yunnan, in southwest China. The tea is collected in the picking period from late March to mid-April and produced under strict observance using special manufacturing methods. The plantation is located in a naturally wooded environment at an altitude of 1,800 to 2,100 m with cool climate. This forms the basis for the cultivation of this specialty. The leaf is large, finely twisted, tobacco-like, with a very high proportion of golden leaf buds. It develops a strong, spicy, malty aroma in the copper-coloured cup, in combination with the typical soft-earthy Yunnan character.
