The Margherita tea plantation was founded in 1884 and is located in the Indian district of Tinsukia. The total area of this tea garden corresponds to 946 hectares, for tea cultivation approx. 614 hectares. Named after a former Italian queen, the town of Margherita gave this nearby growing area its name. The well-crafted, fine leaf, with its golden tips, develops a dark cup and a strong, spicy smell in the cast. The full-bodied and savory taste stays on the tongue for a long time. The right preparation of black tea Assam GFBOP Margherita is also crucial.
