Lemon honey comes from the nectar of Citrus limonia, (lemon tree). // BENEFITS: Honey with its properties helps to soften and protect the walls of the throat, while the lemon, with its high content of vitamin C, strengthens the immune system and fights infections. // ORGANOLEPTIC FEATURES: 1) Colour: Clear, with yellowish nuances. 2) Aroma: weak, floral, methyl anthranylated notes 3) Taste: Sweet with acidic notes, sometimes not noticeable. // SENSITIVE BEEKEEPING: A wilderness with immense forest masses and impressive mountains crossed by hundreds of crystal clear rivers. In our forests live the last European colonies of brown bears and a great deal of wildlife. We have centuries-old oak forests, silent witnesses of the past. Hidden in the forest we have a flora with a multitude of endemisms and native species. // ENVIRONMENT: Where do our bees live? Our beehives are located in Cantabria, in the Campoo Valley, Valdeolea and Valderredible, as well as on the Cantabrian coast, in a privileged environment of honey flora. The hives are found in extensive mountain ranges rich in moors and wild flora, where bees collect the nectar with which they produce, among other things, the exquisite monofloral heather honey.
