The "segment second" is a second display, consisting of a 3-winged second hand with different length wing arms that crosses a 3-line second scale on a third circle. The varying length of the watch blade arms slide over the scale segments one after the other and display the seconds 0-20, 20-40 and 40-60 with their diamond-shaped pointer tips. The watch with this second function is patent protected. The impressive floating second display is powered by the automatic movement K029.024 (C.I.T.I.Z.E.N base). The mechanical movement is a 24 rubies "fast oscillator" with 28,800 A/h (4 Hz). It is also equipped with a modified date display at 6 o'clock. The date is larger than usual and appliqué framed. Thanks to the movement, the watch has only a case thickness of 9.6 mm with a 41 mm case diameter, making it one of the slimmest automatic watches on the market. The classic watch is available in 4 model colours with steel or gold-plated case and matt silver or onyx black dials. The watch glass is a K1 glass with special scratch resistance. Thanks to its unisex size and low thickness, the watch stands very well for both men and women. The leather straps in black or dark brown are very high-quality, padded, alligator-embossed and equipped with a Kronsegler crest button and a folding clasp with safety double press. In the 2017 model series, all watches are available with fine Milanese steel straps in 2.5 mm thickness and 0.8 mm knitted thickness. The Vertigo is delivered in a dark green exclusive box with certificate, instruction manual and polishing cloth.
