Can also be used to add two IDE peripherals (one port accepts a ribbon cable supporting two peripherals). This PCI-E 1x card (PCIe 1.0, PCIe 1.0/2.0/3.0 compatible) supports 2 SATA ports and one IDE (PATA) port. SATA ports can be routed either to an internal SATA socket, or to an external eSATA socket via jumpers on the card.
