Allows a PCIe x8 port to be obtained from a Mini PCIe card slot in order to connect a conventional PCIe card. Supplied with two flexible, shielded cables of 15cm and 25cm. Suitable for any notebook with a miniPCIe port, plug and play, a purely "hardware" adapter requiring no software installation. The miniPCIe part is housed inside the laptop, and is connected by a shielded cable to the PCIe x8 socket that will house the PCIe card. The PCIe socket is powered: - in 3.3V via the miniPCIe port - in 5V either via USB cable (hence the USB socket on the socket), or via floppy cable (floppy/sata adapter supplied). - 12V via floppy cable (floppy/sata adapter supplied).
