This adapter works like a multiple socket, allowing you to use one PCIe x1 slot to obtain 2 x4 slots. With ASM1182e chipset. The base fits into a PCI Express 1x, 2x, 4x or 16x slot on a server or desktop PC. The daughterboard, connected to the base by a 60cm cord, features 2 PCIe 4x ports that you can use independently. You can replace this cable with a longer or shorter one, as it's a simple USB3 type A male / A male cable (but beware of its quality if you want to replace our supplied cable!). If you need a large power supply for the PCIe ports, you can use the Sata connector to connect the daughterboard to the PC power supply. Gold-plated contacts (better connectivity due to resistance to oxidation over time).
