Amazon Converts an IDE 40-pin desktop hard disk drive to SATA format. The adapter is mounted on the back of the IDE hard disk and physically transforms it into a SATA hard disk or writer, with the classic SATA 15+7 connector (15-pin power plug and 7-pin data plug). The adapter will power the IDE device, so you don't need multiple power cords. Does not interfere with the operating system, does not slow down data transfers. Compatible with motherboards supporting SATA 1, 2 or 3 disks.
