Amazon We produce a range of Angular Contact (A/C) cartridge bearings specifically designed for hubs. In standard radial bearings, only 3 or 4 balls come into contact during charging, at any given time. In Angular Contact (A/C) bearings, ALL balls are engaged and distribute force over a larger area, reducing friction and minimizing wear. The wheel clearance can be adjusted out of the hub, to give a more stable wheel, making it easier to adjust the disc brakes, while still rotating freely. Stainless steel has a 20% lower load capacity than 52100 chrome steel, used in most of our bearings, but with much higher corrosion resistance.
