The wild pepper or Pipper Borbonese is harvested in Madagascar. The wild pepper grows high up in the trees at a height of 10 - 20 m. The fruits are harvested by hand. The erne is very dangerous and takes place once a year. The berries look similar to cubeb pepper but are slightly smaller.
