DollaTek PCA9306 Bi-directional IIC Bus Voltage Level Converter Module and SMBus

The PCA9306 device allows two-way voltage conversion between 1.2V and 5V, without the use of a steering pin. The low on-state resistance (RON) of the switch allows connections to be established with minimal propagation delay. When EN is high, the translation switch is enabled and the E/S SCL1 and SDA1 are connected to the E/S SCL2 and SDA2 respectively, allowing for bidirectional data flow between ports. When EN is low, the translation switch is disabled and a high-impedance state exists between the ports. In addition to voltage conversion, the PCA9306 device can be used to isolate a 400 kHz bus from a 100 kHz bus by controlling the EN pin and disconnecting the slower bus during fast mode communication.
