Amazon Grown in Croatia: whole German chamomile flower heads (Matricaria chamomilla) from organic fields, picked in early summer when the blossoms are fully open and dried whole so the golden centres keep their natural oils. Tastes of honey and ripe apple with a soft floral finish. The infusion brews bright gold and smooth, with a light bitter note that only comes forward if you steep it longer. Brewing: 2 g (one heaped teaspoon of flowers) per 250 ml, water at 90 to 100°C, steep 5 to 7 minutes and strain. The same flowers give a second and third cup; add a minute each time. Certified organic and single ingredient: only whole camomile blossoms, no flavourings, nothing blended in. Naturally caffeine free and packed in Belgium. An evening cup without caffeine, a cold brew on hot days, or a base for your own herbal blends with mint, lemon balm or lavender. The whole flowers also work in baking, syrups and cocktails.
