SCART TO HDMI ONLY – Connects a source with a SCART output (VHS recorder, DVD player, set-top box, Wii, PS2 and older consoles) to a TV, monitor or projector with an HDMI input. It does not work the other way round: it does not convert HDMI to SCART and is not for devices with an HDMI-only output such as PS4, PS5, Fire TV Stick, Apple TV or PC. SOUND BUT NO PICTURE? SET TO CVBS – The converter reads composite video (CVBS), not RGB. If you hear sound but the screen stays black or the picture drops out, open the source's menu (set-top box, DVD player) and set the SCART output to "CVBS", "Video" or "Composite" instead of "RGB". WHAT YOU NEED TO CONNECT IT – The input is a female SCART socket: you need a male-to-male SCART cable or your source's own SCART cable. You also need an HDMI cable and a USB port for power (on the TV or a 5V USB adapter). In the box: converter and USB cable. SCART cable, HDMI cable and power adapter not included. 720P OR 1080P WITH ONE SWITCH – Choose the output resolution that suits your screen. The converter adapts the analogue signal to modern screens but does not turn it into true HD: picture quality stays that of the source, and VHS and DVD are standard definition. PLUG & PLAY, NO DRIVERS – Connect the SCART, HDMI and USB cables, switch on the source and select the right HDMI input on the TV. Ideal for watching old VHS tapes and DVDs or using a set-top box with a modern TV that has no SCART socket.
