The steel toe cap protects against impact from falling objects and from pressure and provides protection of 200 joules - equivalent to a drop of 20 kg from 1 m height or a weight of 1.5 tonnes that loads on the toe area. Steel midsole: a thin but strong steel plate that extends the entire length of the sole and protects against objects that penetrate the foot from below and pierce it, such as such as nails, tacks, broken glass, etc., which could otherwise cause serious injury. Dual density polyurethane/PU sole that is resistant to fuel oil so it won't wear out, discolour or retain grease that would otherwise lead to slips and tripping. Other features include: energy absorbing heel that reduces foot fatigue, anti-static sole that minimises the build-up of electrostatic charges, non-slip sole. SIZING Blackrock safety shoes are designed with a wide fit so thick boot socks can be worn. Please consider this when choosing your size. You can choose a smaller size if you wear them with normal socks.
