Description
Polyestershoppen
Biaxial glass fabric 450 gr/m2 is a high-quality multiaxial glass fabric used for building boats, surfboards, longboards, skis and much more. The product is suitable for laminating with epoxy, polyester and vinylester. The biaxially woven glass laminate consumes approximately 370 gr/m2 of resin and gives a layer thickness of approximately 0.49 mm after lamination and curing.
What is Biaxial glass fabric?
Biaxial glass fabric is a fabric that consists of 2 layers of unidirectional fibres connected at an angle of 45 degrees. This provides excellent compressive and tensile strength. Multiaxial glass fabric enables lightweight yet stiff constructions. Resin absorption is minimised due to the tight fibre alignment.
Biaxial glass fabric provides high bending strength but also improves torsional rigidity of constructions.
We also supply biaxial glass fabric in variants of 250 gr/m2 (0.34 mm layer thickness) and 600 gr/m2 (0.78 mm layer thickness).
