Float E2-25 - A narrower version of our Float E2 airbag backpack. The backpack has the same features as our Float E2-35, but it has 10 litres less storage space, a smaller cross section which eliminates the need for compression straps. Non-stop travel to all destinations – Our new Float E2 avalanche airbag features the Alpride E2 super capacitor system that stores the energy released when the airbag is triggered. Super consignors store & release energy based on an electromechanical process & not based on a chemical reaction like that occurs in rechargeable batteries. This means that the performance of the super capacitor remains reliable even in very cold temperatures. The new E2 trigger unit is 40% smaller and 25% lighter than the already existing Alpride E1 system, based on the 162 litre airbag. Like the predecessor E1, the E2 TSA is tested and therefore approved for all airlines. While our E2 system allows air travel, our innovative side pocket system and the built-in back zip ensure good travel conditions on the snow - so you can drink without stopping, change the hat/gloves/glasses or even transport skis. AA batteries for additional triggers: In addition to the super capacitor, two AA batteries can be inserted, which ensures additional triggering of the airbag and at the same time ensures that the super capacitor is always fully charged when not in use. (2 x AA alkaline batteries ensure additional triggering and can keep the system on the highest charge level for up to three months if not triggered. These additional batteries are not included.)
