This pack of A5 cotton rag paper contains 40 sheets. A heavyweight 250gsm paper with a smooth pressed surface, it is suitable for watercolour and all painting uses, as well as all dry and soft media - for oil painting, the surface will need to be prepared with gesso. Our cotton-rag paper is also fantastic for various other arts & crafts applications such as creation of unique wedding stationary and greeting cards, and it can also be used in bookbinding. Each sheet is individually handmade and features a fully deckled edge with natural variations in texture, size and shape between each sheet due to the handmade nature of the product. Created entirely by local artisans in Northern India using traditional paper-making methods, the Indigo Handmade Cotton-Rag paper comes in packs wrapped in recycled paper. It is 100% acid-free with a neutral pH.
