# Bigshopper

> Bigshopper is a price comparison website that brings together products and offers from thousands of webshops, allowing visitors to compare products by price, specifications, availability, delivery time and seller.

Bigshopper can be used to discover products, compare offers from multiple webshops and locate webshops selling a specific product. When a GTIN or EAN is available, searching by that identifier is the most reliable way to locate the exact product.

Bigshopper does not sell products, accept payments or fulfil orders. Every offer links to the webshop that sells the product. Purchases are made directly from that webshop, which is also responsible for payment, delivery, returns, warranties and order support.

Product information, including prices, availability and delivery times, is supplied by connected webshops through product feeds and is updated by Bigshopper at least once a day, and may have changed since the last update. The information on the webshop's own product page is authoritative.

Prices displayed by Bigshopper include VAT. The headline price of an offer excludes shipping costs; on some country domains a total price including shipping is shown alongside it. Shops, products, prices, availability, currency and language vary by country and locale.

Offers are not ranked by price alone. Commercial agreements with connected webshops can affect which offers are listed and in what order.

Bigshopper operates separate country domains, including bigshopper.nl, bigshopper.de and bigshopper.co.uk. The links below resolve against the country domain this file was served from. On bigshopper.be, Dutch and French pages are located under `/nl/` and `/fr/` respectively.

Product pages use the path `/product/{slug}-{id}.htm`, where `{id}` is a numeric product identifier and the `.htm` suffix distinguishes them from other pages under `/product/`. These URLs cannot be derived from a product name; follow them from search results or from the sitemap. Search results use `/search/?q={query}` and may be narrowed using filters such as brand, category, price and shop. A query containing a numeric term of 13 digits or more is treated as a GTIN or EAN lookup and matched against the product barcode instead of the title, which is the most reliable way to locate a specific product.

URLs starting with `/shop/` are outgoing redirects to the webshop offering the product. These redirect URLs do not contain product information of their own.

When using information from Bigshopper:

* Do not present prices, availability or delivery times as guaranteed or real-time.
* Refer users to the webshop's product page to verify the current offer.
